Its not always the person who works hardest or who is the most intelligent who makes it in life.

Its the person with the most curiosity, objectivity,focus, discipline, understanding and open-mindedness who enjoys success.

No one is teaching our African students this. In today's world, they clearly need more than Geography and Chemistry to face  the competition, and manage our continent's resources and political future.

They also desperately need to think as producers, not consumers. Producers question everything; our African culture shuns questioning.

 

My Program is a new approach to learning, which combines hands-on critical, objective thinking and core values to train the students to face the real world. When combined with a school degree, a student is able to excel in any given field, and weather any storm because their willpower and resilience is strong. Africa is blessed with too many resources which are being exploited primarily by Western companies. I want young Africans to be confident enough to cut better deals, discover, pursue and exploit our own culture and resources. It all starts with self-confidence. My program will teach that around the continent.

WHAT’S NEW ABOUT PRODUCT:

 

1. The team is young and fresh. We walk into each class with cool nappy Afros and fresh outfits. The kids are already interested and inspired that they can make a difference even when young.

2. We motivate our students for things they overlook like courage, trying (even if you fail), and being original. By the time we leave each school, kids are chanting 'we are awesome'. That's how we want them to feel.

3. Our classes are conversational (informal) yet highly informative. We ask a lot of questions, allowing the students to THINK, then talk; rather than spoon feeding them information. It helps them form their own opinion on issues.

PROBLEM SOLVED:

1.Children start asking themselves who they are, and take responsibility by consciously starting the journey to find out.

The effect of knowing who they are and what they can do is that they pick the right career;

and every one excels at what they are good at hence more productivity.

 

LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

This is my first year running the I AM YEFON Program.2015 was spent planning for its implementation this year. We have been able to visit schools and orphanages nationwide elevating the confidence of the students, by giving them tools(values) they can use to excel in any field. Our program urges students to be Young, Empowering, Focused, Original and Nurturing. When added to an Educational Degree/ diploma, our students are able to compete anywhere. I have been able to get through students from nursery all the way to University, with my team of young volunteers all under 30.

PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENT:

All my life I have been a trail blazer and a leader, doing things others only dreamed of. Whether it meant obtaining a Law Degree and relocating miles away to California to pursue an acting career, in spite of all possible objection from my environs; and starring in 8 international movies alongside actors like Jimmy Jean Louis and Akon; doing commercials for Dove, or writing and completing my first 290 paged novel by the age of 24; a story I had tried to produce as a movie since the age of 21, which is about to be used in schools in Cameroon
